We have evaluated the NV Energy Home Energy Reports Program in both the Nevada Power Company (southern Nevada) and Sierra Pacific Power Company (Northern Nevada) service areas since 2014.
Further, we have performed evaluation of NV Energy behavioral pilots:
- In 2016, NV Energy piloted a Message-Based Demand response initiative. The pilot sent a variety of messages aimed at encouraging participants to change their behaviors to curtail usage during a specific peak demand window.
- In 2018, NV Energy began piloting a Business Energy Reports initiative designed to provide small and medium businesses with a comparison of energy usage to their peers along with tailored energy savings suggestions that are meant to nudge participants into saving energy.
Finally, we have begun evaluating NV Energy’s Online Assessments Program, a statewide residential energy efficiency program that provides information and insights about customers’ energy use via free online access.
