We have evaluated the FirstEnergy Home Energy Analyzer Program in Pennsylvania service areas since 2010. This program allows customer to participate via the FirstEnergy website or over the phone when calling for high bill complaints. Since the program is targeted toward mitigating high bill complaints, the program produced an above-average per-customer savings. This opt-in program is administered by in-house IT staff at FirstEnergy. In addition, FirstEnergy has implemented an OPower Home Energy Report program since 2010, which we have evaluated seven times since inception.
