ADM is seeking candidates for the position of Residential Field Staff to inspect energy efficiency equipment and perform duct blaster and blower door tests.

Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills, writing, and analysis capabilities; excellent organizational skills; an ability to think out of the box; and the capability to work both independently and in groups. Experience with energy program evaluation, energy efficiency and building systems is a plus. The level of Residential Field Staff will be dependent on length of career and direct experience.

You will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. You will verify the installation of energy-efficient equipment, conduct blower door and duct blaster tests, perform pre- and post-installation verifications, and perform other technical data gathering activities. You will be required to clearly document your site findings for use by our analytical group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is desired.
  • BPI Certification is desired.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Record inspection results, customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements. Provide input and status updates to project managers.
  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in the field and must be able to use instruments such as a blower door and duct blaster.
  • Applicant must be knowledgeable about efficient technologies, including lighting, HVAC equipment, building envelopes, lighting, and water heating equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and under time pressures.
  • Ability to travel for a significant fraction of a full-time schedule. This position involves travel. Ability to work in-person in multiple homes per day
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to rent vehicles and travel on commercial airlines.
  • Ability to carry up to 30lbs. and the ability to climb ladders.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE:

1 or more years of experience, preferably in energy.

Professional experience in the energy efficiency, public policy, environmental consulting, or market research fields is desirable, but not required.

SOFTWARE SKILLS:

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.
