Since 1997, we have evaluated new technologies for Southern California Edison. We performed monitoring activities for various technologies, including floating head pressure in refrigeration systems, multiplexing of compressors, electronically-commutated motor (ECM) evaporator fans, fiber optic and LED lighting in freezer cases, LED task lighting, LED parking lot lighting, billboard and signage lighting, dimming ballasts and controls for demand response (DR) load shedding, HVAC units designed for hot and dry climates, pre-cooling of buildings, 1-minute resolution power data to size battery systems for DR load shedding, DR WiFi thermostats, and variable speed pool pumps.
